And you, what have you eaten for lunch?
Here’s my plate today: Rice with Saffron and Chicken ! … Simple … simple !
Ingredients
- 100 grams of rice
- 200 grams of chicken
- One sachet of saffron
- rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- a pinch of salt ( if you like ! )
Process
Cook the rice in plenty of water with a little salt if desired. Drain as soon as it’s ready. Keep a little of the cooking water aside.
In a saucepan, pour the drained rice, add a sachet of saffron and stir well. If rice looks too dry, add a little of the cooking water. Add the chicken breast grilled with rosemary and previously cut into small pieces . Mix everything together and serve with a teaspoon of olive oil .
Saffron is a spice that gives great goodness and flavor to dishes and has the great advantage of not adding any fat and provides very few calories . In fact, the caloric intake of this spice is practically null: a sachet of 0.15 g is less than 1 cal and contains 0.0097 g of fat.
Yummy … yummy !
